Courses
Since 2000, I have been offering a course called Craniosacral Therapy for Massage Therapists. The program contains 60 contact hours, and is divided into one of two formats: four weekends, or two modules of four days each.
The curriculum contains the following components:
1.
History of osteopathy and craniosacral therapy
2.
Anatomy of the craniosacral system and description of the Cranial Concept
3.
Development of palpation skills to assess craniosacral motion and “listen to the tissues”.
4.
Application of therapeutic principles to treat myofascial structures such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, including trigger points and scar tissue.
5.
Myofascial release of the diaphragms of the body: respiratory and pelvic diaphragms, thoracic inlet and the cranial base
6.
Treatment of the cranial and spinal dura.
7.
Balancing of the osseous components of the body and treatment of joint restrictions in the pelvis, vertebral column and cranium, specifically: the sacrum and iliac bones, the vertebra and ribs, and the bones of the cranial base, vault and face.
8.
Application of therapeutic tools such as the V-spread, the CV4, and the venous sinuses
This course has been approved for 30 CEUs by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

A certificate of completion will be granted to anyone completing the course.
